Obituary
Edith Lucille Arrington, 91, of Collins, Missouri was born December 14, 1924 in Springfield, Missouri to Scott Holleman and Lucille (Mueller) Holleman. She passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.

On August 11, 1944 she was united in marriage to Joel Anderson Arrington. To this union, 4 sons were born, Mickey, Rick, Bob and Raymond

She was a long time Collins area resident. Edith was a homemaker and loved to run her business and pride and joy, Cut A Way Fabric store in Weaubleau, Missouri for many years. She enjoyed sewing in her early years she would do altering clothes and making drapes. Once she started Cut A Way, her passion was sewing quilts. She enjoyed helping her customers in picking out the matching fabric for their quilts. This was her passion for sure. She was always sewing while passing time waiting for her next customer. She also was a very good crotchetier. In her later years she would crochet scrubber after scrubber after scrubber and sell them in her store.

Edith also enjoyed shopping at Cargo Largo in Kansas City. We always said she had to touch everything in the store. She may not need the item, but if it was a bargain in the basket it went. She could spend hours in the store. Another of her favorite places to shop was Green County Freight in Springfield. There again if it was a bargain in the cart, it went. She also loved thrift stores and garage sales. Edith loved to fish with Joel and her family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joel and first born son, Mickey.

Edith is survived by Rick and wife Teresa Arrington of Dubuque, Iowa, Bob and wife Clarinda Arrington of Branson, Missouri, Raymond and wife Rosalyn Arrington of Kansas City, Kansas; grandchildren Deanne and husband Mark Sharpless of Iowa City, Iowa, Bob Arrington of Lathrop, Missouri, Dan and wife Billie Arrington, Dubuque of Iowa, Rusty Arrington, Lori Daniel and Raymond of Kansas City, Missouri, Bill and wife Brandi Arrington of Parkville, Missouri, Jessie Arrington of Richmond, Missouri; 9 great grandchildren, Grace, Lauren, Madyson, Kyria, Joel, Jace, Kennedy, Alex and Katalina.
