Herman Antone “Tony” Burns passed away April 21, 2016 surrounded by family and friends. Tony was born August 24, 1954 in Sedalia, Missouri to Dorothy Virginia and William Thomas Burns. .
Tony spent several years employed at Learjet before ensuing a career in auto body repair. He was known as a perfectionist, meticulously crafting his customer’s vehicles into works of art. He loved Nascar and country music. He was always busy working on small projects and enjoyed tinkering and creating new things out of everyday items. Tony was a friend to everyone and never met a stranger. He always had a smile on his face and a kind word to share.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Leroy Burns, and his sister Patty Milliken
Tony is survived by his son Bradley McLain and granddaughter Marissa of Paola, Kansas and sisters Rose Mary (David) Riley of Dayton, Ohio, Sadie (Jeff) Schubert of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, and Nancy (Greg) McLarry of Collins, Missouri. Tony also leaves behind his companion Darlene Haslock of Stockton, Missouri and her grandchildren Emily and Brad as well as many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and two great great nieces.
