Karen Diane (Griese) Stout was born
July 21, 1941 to Arthur Griese and
Clarice (Thrush) Griese at Elore,
Minnesota. She departed from this
life January 1, 2016.
She was baptized on the

Karen and her family moved to
California when she was about six
years old. She graduated high school at
Live Oak, California. She was married shortly after and
was blessed with a daughter, Wendee Joy.
Four years later, she married Marion A. (Sam) Stout
from Kansas, who was in the U.S. Air Force and was
sent to the Philippines for sixteen months. Karen lived in
Kansas while Sam was gone and had their son, Clifford
Allen. She was a mother and home keeper for Sam for
fifty-one years, 2 1/2 months.
Karen and Sam retired to a country place in Blackjack,
Missouri area, which was later hit by tornado winds
and destroyed. They found a new home in El Dorado
Springs, which Karen came quickly to love. She found a
new church home and church family, which she was
forever thankful for.
She is survived by her husband, daughter, son,
daughter-in-law, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
The church, God, and family have always been the
priority in Karens life. Karen left us this New Years and is
starting fresh in a better place for the upcoming year.
