Obituary
Howard U. “Udie” Prescott of El Dorado Springs, MO. passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2015, peacefully at home under the excellent care of Hospice Compassus and his devoted wife, Virginia Walker Prescott.

Howard was born September 12, 1927, near Salisbury, MO., the only child to Harry and Goldia (Lightfoot) Prescott, who preceded him in death. He was a resident of the Kansas City area for forty-four years, graduating from Northeast High School in 1945. He was a veteran of World War II. He received his Radiology accreditation while in the Army. After the military, Howard was a Radiology Technician and worked at K.C. Veterans Hospital; and later became Chief Technician at the K.C. Osteopathic Hospital for twenty years. In 1971, he moved to El Dorado Springs and started his second career opening Prescott TV, Zenith Sales & Service, retiring in 1990.

Howard and Virginia Prescott recently became members of the Community Church of El Dorado Springs. Their new church family gave Howard much love and comfort in his last months. Howard was a former member, and also held high regard for the Methodist Church. He sang in the Church choir; served on various committees over the years. He also served on the City of El Dorado Springs Zoning & Planning Board for ten years. His hobbies included square dancing for almost fifty years; a ham radio operator, (K0DOB); and a member of SPEBSQSA, American Barbershop Chorus, singing with the K.C. Heart of America Barbershop Chorus for twenty years. He and Virginia enjoyed delivering Meals on Wheels for the local Senior Center for twenty years.

Howard is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Virginia Prescott; one daughter, Linda Cravens and her husband, Mike, of Sikeston, MO; three grandchildren, Scott (Danita) Seyer of Santa Maria, CA; Shelli (Mike) Chinlund of Woodstock, IL; Jason (Heather) Seyer of Cookeville, TN; and fourteen great grandchildren.

Howard “Udie” will be forever remembered for his beautiful smile, kind and gentle nature, loyal friendships, and devotion to GOD and his family.
