Franklin D. Koger, 82, of El Dorado Springs, Missouri passed away on January 24, 2015 at home with his loving wife by his side after a long illness. He was born November 12, 1932 to Clarence Elmer Koger and Nellie Faye (Shoemaker) in Cedar County, Missouri.
Frank lived in the same home with his parents, until he met the love of his life and began his own home. On September 11, 1954 Frank was united in marriage to Lela Theora Spoor. To this union two sons were born. Tony Ray and Rocky Lynn. After graduating from El Dorado Springs High School he worked for MFA Farmers Exchange in El Dorado Springs. In 1953 he was called to serve his country as a demolition specialist in the Army. After returning home from the Army he began his 40 year career with Mid American Dairy. He started as a field-man and continued as a bulk tank driver, then into maintenance serving as Plant Engineer.
Frank's hobbies were farming and later his gardening, where he loved to raise watermelons. He also spent many vacations fishing at Snow Lake, Manitoba, Canada with family and friends.
Frank was saved and baptized as a young man while attending Union Hall Baptist Church. He was a lifelong member of Union Hall Baptist Church where he and his family served God in many different ways.
Frank was preceded in death by his father Clarence Elmer and mother, Nellie Faye; baby sister, Carol Sue.
He is survived by his wife, Lela, of the home; 2 sons, Tony Koger and wife Becky and Rocky Koger and wife Faye, both of El Dorado Springs; 5 grandchildren, Brett Koger and wife Ashley, of Alabaster, Alabama, Tanya Ward and husband Earl of Oologah, Oklahoma, Jason Koger of El Dorado Springs, Kristen Casey and husband Scott of El Dorado Springs and Tyler Koger and fiance, Jessica Printz of Champaign, Illinois; 6 great grandchildren, Carson, Chloe, and Ella Kate Koger, Cash and Case Ward and Abigail Casey; 1 brother John Robert Koger and wife Edith and numerous in-laws, nieces, and nephews. Also his faithful dog "Bud".
