Bill D. Corbin, 83, passed away Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Overland Park Nursing and Rehab Center. A Celebration of Bills life will be held Tuesday, August 19 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at Skradski Funeral Home, 340 N. 6th Street, Kansas City, Kansas. Wednesday, August 20, 2014 a funeral service will be held at 11 AM at Sheldon-Goodrich Chapel in Osceola, Missouri with burial in the Iconium Cemetery.
Bill was born January 22, 1931 to Clyde A. and Myrtle V. (Rippetoe) in Corbin, Missouri. He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the American Legion. He retired from General Motors, Fairfax and was a member of UAW Local #31. Later he enjoyed ownership of Billie D's at 10th and Kansas Ave. He was a member of the Bear Creek United Methodist Church in Iconium, Missouri.
Preceding him in death were his parents; two sisters; three brothers; and daughter, Callie Louise (Corbin) Kershner. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ramona (Casteel) Corbin, and daughter and son-in-law, Karla and Rene Schutte of Prairie Village, Kansas/Surprise, Arizona; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildre, and one great-great-grandson; and one sister, Lois Jones.
