Obituary
Donna Kay Coale was born September 9, 1937 in Nevada, Missouri, to Jack and Mabel Burris. She passed away on May 26, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, after suffering a stroke.

Donna married Gene Coale on March 12, 1954. To this union four sons were born, Kenneth Daniel, Donald Eugene, Devin Carl, and David Lee.

Donna spent all of her adult life in El Dorado Springs where she worked in retail and did alterations for people. Donna was one of the most accomplished seamstresses in the area. She could mend or fix anything and make it fit and look perfect.

She was baptized in the Church of Christ were she was a long time member and attended faithfully. She also had a love for and was very talented in music. She could play the organ by ear and had a nack for writing songs. In 2008 she recorded a song she had written years ago about El Dorado Springs. She titled it City of Gold and had CDs made and sold during the El Dorado Springs Picnic. On Saturday, nights she loved to go to the Fort Scott Opry, or listen to the Circle S Band with some of her good friends.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Mabel Burris; a nephew, Randy Lusk; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Donna is survived by her sons, Danny and girlfriend Cindy, Donald, Devin, David and wife Kayo; ten grandchildren, Scott, Carrie, Aaron, Shianne, Cody, Dustin, Chelsey, Caleb, Brea, and Brooke; seven great grandchildren, Lilly, Alex, Megan, Derek, Xander, AJ, Kaydin, and Alli Ana; her sister, Rosemary Lusk and husband Roland; an uncle, Dean Scales and his wife Rita. Donna also known to her nieces and nephews as Nonna is survived by nephew, Ron Lusk; nieces, Bert Julian and husband John and Becky McConnaughey and husband Bud; several great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews and cousins.
