Obituary
Iva Lucille Cochran was born November 18, 1921 in Roscoe, MO to Roy and Arvella (Coleman) Street. She passed away February 13, 2014 at her home.

In 1940 Iva was united in marriage to Blond Elvin Cochran. They began their married life living in a one room log cabin that was located on the Roy and Arvella Street farm. Their first son, Gary E. Cochran was born in that one room log cabin in November of 1943. Shortly after that they bought the place where they have resided in the Tiffin area. In May 1948 another son was born, Gerald Ray Cochran.

Blond and Iva had 66 years together. Over the years they both enjoyed square dancing.

Iva was a great contributor to an outstanding generation. She loved her work whether it involved driving a tractor, mowing hay or growing grain. No account of Iva’s life would be complete unless it mentioned her milking. There were times when she seldom left the farm because of the twice-a-day milk routine.

She loved to quilt and share them with family and friends. She was a member of the Jolly Farmers Club. Iva had a quiet dignity and gained the respect of all who knew her. She leaves a legacy that many would be honored to achieve.

Iva was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Blond, son Gary and brother Melvin Ray Street.

She is survived by her son, Gerald Ray Cochran and Jeanie Parks, grandchildren, Ben and Lisa Cochran, Mark and Misty Cochran, Jim and Barbara Cochran, Cole and Tricia Cochran, Brandy and Jason Matter all of El Dorado Springs, 12 great grandchildren, Kayla, Jacob, Ashten, Austin, Kamera, Draven, Bailey, Amie, Clay, Nicki, Samantha and Cierra, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
