In lieu of flowers the family suggest contributions to the Alzheimers Association left in care of the funeral home.
Mary Louise (Armstrong) Banning was called home to be with our lord and savior on July 22, 2013 in Ozark, Missouri. She was born in Lowry City, Missouri on September 17, 1922, the youngest of two daughter’s of Arthur and Helen Armstrong. She graduated from Lowry City High School and Attended Central Missouri State Teachers College (UCM) in Warrensburg, Mo. Mary Louise married Calvin F. Banning in 1943. She then worked in the family resort and marina business along with her primary love of raising three children Mary Ann, Roger and Calvin.
Mary Louise lived in Blue Springs, Missouri since 1964, where she worked as a Dental Office Manager and later for the Federal Bankruptcy Court in Kansas City from where she retired. Her Social and Civic involvements included; Past President of the Pilot Club of Blue Springs and Past Elder and Member of Chapel Hill Presbyterian Church in Blue Springs along with many other community related volunteer activities. Mary Louise was strong in her faith of god, a loyal and faithful friend and loving mother and grandmother. She served as a wonderful example for all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
Mary Louise was preceded in death by her sister Lauralee Fugazzi and her daughter Mary Ann Banning in 1963.
Mary Louise is survived by her son Calvin Armstrong Banning and Daughter-in Law Lee Anne Banning, her son Roger Lee Banning and his fiancé Dedra Kay Lair, her granddaughter’s Chelsea Lee Banning, Carrlee Rebecca Banning, Caytlin Ivy Banning and Bailey Anne Banning, her grandson’s Ryan Christopher Banning, Collin Michael Banning, Charles William Douglas, and Christopher McGuire Douglas, her granddaughter-in-law Emilie Ashley Douglas and great grandson River Hayes Banning along with loving family and friends.
