James Melvin Roberts was born June 25, 1949 in Osceola, Missouri to James Alfred Roberts and Imogene Mary Roberts. He passed away on March 21, 2013 in Kansas City, Missouri.
As a young adult James entered the United States Navy serving 2 years in Vietnam. He married Nancy Alderidge and to this union two daughters were born, Lisa and Sherrie. He worked as an over the road truck driver and worked at bendix before becoming disabled. James loved to spend ime with his two daughters and granddaughters when he could. He loved to spend time outdoors hunting and fishing. He also loved walking his dog.
James spent his last years in Harrisonville, Missouri where he stayed at Golden Years Nursing Facility. While he was at Golden Years Nursing Facility, He became much closer to the Lord. James enjoyed singing hymns and praising God with fellow residents.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Alfred Roberts and sister, Glinda Jean Sims
James is survived by his mother, Imogene Roberts of Harrisonville; two daughters, Lisa Pitts of Warsaw and Sherrie Roberts of Lees Summit; 1 brother Danny Roberts and wife Elizabeth of Harrisonville; 1 sister, Dixie Harper and husband Willard of Osceola; two granddaughters, Sara and Racheal; his beloved companion Rambo and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
