Kenneth Franklin Hamilton was born in Cedar County, Missouri, November 25, 1937, the fourth child of 14 children, to Edward Lester and Antonia (Cruzan) Hamilton. He passed away October 8, 2012, at Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, Missouri, with his family around him, after an eight year battle with cancer. While in the hospital, Ken made peace with the Lord.
Ken attended grade school at Caplinger Mills, Mount Olive, and Black Jack. He attended high school in El Dorado Springs.
He married Yvonne Culbertson in 1956. To this union, six children were born, Eddy Dean, Diana Lynn, Rebecca June, Kenny Jr., Alvin Wayne and Patricia Ann. The family resided at Black Jack until 1975 when the family moved into El Dorado Springs. Ken worked for Witt Printing Company, before he moved to Colorado where he worked for TIC.
Kenís main duty with TIC was crane operator or purchasing agent, but had other assignments. He developed an outstanding relationship with clients, which often resulted in their requesting him for future jobs.
After working in the Western United States, Ken retired and returned to El Dorado Springs.
He loved to fish and hunt, especially with Clete and Dwain, his lifelong friends. And each spring he always planted his garden so he could enjoy his sunflowers and can his famous beets. He enjoyed playing cards with anyone ready for a game, especially with his friends at the Eagles. He loved being with his children, his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charles and Don; and a sister, Kathy.
Ken is survived by his children, Dean Hamilton and his wife, Dawn, from Indiana; Diana Smith of El Dorado Springs; Becky Jackson and her husband, Rick, from Louisiana; Kenny Jr. of El Dorado Springs; Alvin, from Pennsylvania and Patty Salazar and her husband, Drex, of El Dorado Springs; sixteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Also he is survived by his remaining siblings, Edward, Byron, Paul, Hazel, Phil, Lennie, Margie, Alice, Sam and Mary.
