Geraldine Covey Burrow was born March 27, 1919 in Excelsior Springs, Missouri to John Robert Covey and Liva Alice Sheton Covey. Jerry was one of 5 children (Eileen, Roy, J.R. and Bill Covey). She passed away July 26, 2012 at Truman Lake Manor, Lowry City, MO.
Jerry never had children but chose to be a Godmother to Tim and Sally Moritz Dains. Her 2 kids were Bill and Stella Humphreys Moritz who became her guardians when her health failed in December of 2008.
Jerry lived a full life, having many talents. Jerry was a licensed cosmetologist, entering that field at age 16 with her mother. Jerry waitressed, quilted, served, clowned, crocheted, clerked and served 1 term as Saint Clair County Treasurer. Jerry gardened and worked outside while living on the farm. Her yard was her passion when she moved into Osceola on Durnell Street. Jerry had many friends during her lifetime, she liked people. During her marriage to James Burrow, she channeled her energies into his music and they played for many dances and events.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father, 4 siblings and 2 husbands; Maurice Jester and James Burrow.
She leaves behind 3 nieces, 1 nephew, godchildren Tim and Sally and her 2 kids Bill and Stella to mourn her passing.
