Obituary
Mike Magoon was born May 31, 1950 in Denver, Colorado, preceded in death by his father Harry Wayne Magoon, brother Kenneth Charles Magoon and brother William Everett Magoon, moved to Lowry City, Missouri in October of 2000. He worked for the city of Lowry City for several years and was a member of the American Legion in Lowry City.

Mike attended high school at Adams City High School in Commerce City, Colorado and graduated in 1968. After graduation he enlisted in the Marine Corps where he was deployed to Vietnam. Shortly after his arrival home, he married Tami Johnson and together they had 3 sons, Shane, Eric and Clint.

Mike was an avid motorcyclist and lover of modified cars. He attended numerous events and was an integral part in raising money for the sick through such events. He never met a stranger and once you met him, you would understand why.

He always had a love for children and demonstrated this through his coaching of youth baseball and football. He never missed a single sporting event in which his sons were participants.

He worked for Avaya Communications in Northglenn, Colorado until retirement. He was also an active member of the South Adams County Volunteer Fire Department for 20 years.

Mike had contracted cancer years later from Agent Orange which was a chemical used in Vietnam. This cancer quickly spread to his bones. He underwent several courses of chemotherapy and radiation during which time he was always upbeat, positive and continued a normal life style.

His greatest joy in life were his sons and his grandchildren. He leaves behind his mother, Mary Jane Magoon, brother Stephen Magoon, wife Tami, son Shane, son Eric and his wife Angela, their four children Colton, Annabelle, Walker and Aubri, son Clint and his children Emma and Ivan and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

He touched the lives of many during his life on earth and was taken home to be with the Lord on July 26, 2017

Iíll always love and miss you, my friend, my companion. Until we meet again Yours forever, Tami
