Tammy Elliott was born November 17, 1964 as Tammy Jo Shepard in Osceola, Missouri to Archie and Athlene (Stewart) Shepard. She passed away June 11, 2017 in Kansas City, Missouri.
She attended school in Clinton, Missouri and then Climax Springs, Missouri. She married Norman Elliott on April 17, 1982 and was married for 28 years. She spent most of those years raising her five children at home.
Tammy celebrated her life by doing the things she loved most. She loved cooking homemade meals for her family, learning about her Native American history and dreaming to play the guitar. She also loved fishing or simply gazing at the night sky. She would sing and dance to music while cleaning house with her favorite being classic rock. What brought her the most joy were her children and grandchildren. Her grandchildren always knew she had a piece of candy or gum in her purse for them.
She was preceded in death by her brother Earl Shepard. Tammy is survived by her children, Norman Elliott, Jr., of Independence, Missouri, Alex Elliott of Boonville, Missouri, Travis Elliott of Holden, Missouri, Amy and husband Jeremiah McQuerry of Warrensburg, Missouri and Brian Elliott of Holden, Missouri; six grandchildren, Devin, Raelynn, Calvin, Kadence, Makenzie and Patrick; sisters Ginny Meek and Ernistine Peek; brother Darel Shepard along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
